Organizing and downsizing services for seniors and their heirs who need assistance. Life is better when you’re organized!

As we age, we tend to settle in one place. Many elders haven’t moved or pared down in decades and want to downsize, but are uncertain about how to get started. The physical effort and organizing involved in downsizing can be difficult and overwhelming, as well as emotionally draining.

Who I Work With: I work with directly with seniors, as well as their family members (adult children, cousin, niece/nephew), senior communities, fiduciaries, estate attorneys, home care agencies and care advisers.

How It Works: We’ll talk by phone. I assess your readiness. Our conversation is confidential. If you feel comfortable, we meet at the project location and begin. You will sign an agreement outlining our work together. Every client and project is unique. We may work as few as 3 hours, or full days to meet deadlines.

I am Mary Lynne Murray, a professional organizer based in Contra Costa County, California.

Five people lived in my tiny home growing up in Vacaville, California. When I was a little girl, our house was so small that we had to downsize each season. I got used to clearing out things regularly, starting with Mom’s purse. Purging closets was a regular thing. My mom worked full time outside the home, so I routinely tidied the house. Whether through nurture or nature, I like organization.
